This is a case study of JISTaP which is an open access journal in the field of information science. JISTaP is published by the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI). JISTaP uses Article Contribution Management System (ACOMS) which is a publication platform provided by KISTI. A quantitative study was conducted to investigate JISTaP and the results were as follows. First, the number of submitted and published papers for 6 years from 2016 to 2021 has been increasing. Second, there was a significant difference in the number of papers submitted before COVID-19 and after COVID-19. It is a kind of indication that shows research culture is influenced by open access in COVID-19 Era. Third, the authors that have submitted papers to JISTaP were mostly from India. Fourth, the most frequently researched keyword by authors was “Bibliometrics”. The research result of this study can be used for planning future strategies for JISTaP.
