The purpose of this study is to verify The difference between preference group and non-preference group on volunteer recognition and reward on the volunteering participation behavior, motives, satisfaction. The analysis shows that, in the respects of the volunteering participation behavior, total accumulated time of voluntary activities of the group who has recognition and reward preference is more. In terms of participation motives, recognition and reward preference group is the higher of the two about the value recognition motives, the self-development and self-satisfaction motives, the social relations motives except the economic motives. And in volunteer work satisfaction, satisfaction of the recognition and reward preference group is the higher. As a result, preference group on volunteer recognition and reward is positive in comparison of non-preference group on the volunteering participation behavior, motives, satisfaction. This means that recognition and reward in the volunteer activity needs. But the difference between preference group and non-preference group does not appear in the economic motives. Therefore we have to be careful of material aid, because manage volunteer activity by material aid like money has the possibility of injuring the natural meaning of the volunteer activity.
