Although smart-phone has grown rapidly over the past decade with Internet information communication technology development, it has been extending the area as the design wearable device market that is developed in new and various figure while smart-phone market has been retarded for recent few years. One of the most noteworthy of these is the Smart Watch, which allows users to freely use both hands without taking out their smart-phones from their bags or pouches, and the function to view notifications, mail, and messages in real time is added. However, since the focus was on the hardware capabilities of Smart Watch, there is only a little research on design that is important. Thus, this research tries to find out about design direction of Smart Watch by conducting emotion assessment about users who use Smart Watch products by researching and analyzing its design and feature. The research method of this study is as follows. First, we investigated the types and structure of smart-phones through the literature survey and examined the differences. Second, we analyzed the design and characteristics of Smart Watch, which has been released for the last two years. Third, SD evaluation method was applied to users through smart watch analysis to conduct the image sensibility assessment of products. Reliability analysis and factor analysis were performed with descriptive statistics by using SPSS. Fourth, as a conclusion, we drew the design direction of the smart watch that the application of the shape of the round rectangle of the vertical type and the achromatic series is effective rather than the round shape.
