In the contemporary architecture industry, the web-based BIM contents Collaboration system is at its early stage. The BIM web content regarding building materials that will be offered through this prototype will be used in various ways. In particular, it is expected to function as an information repository and collaboration server by providing the three-dimensional database for experts in the related fields. This study, which is about the automatic module that extracts BIM content regarding components family, can lead the standardization of material production, and construct the three-dimensional library, supporting the mechanic production of building elements and thus reducing the production cost. Therefore, this study ultimately aims to increase the productivity of building design, providing the technical bases for its popularization and industrialization.
