This study aims to verify how a program of education for preparing death has effect on baby boomers’ attitude towards death (emotional anxiety, cognitive acceptance, behavioral response) and meaning of life. We conducted 12-session death preparing educations for baby boomers and measured the results of training using pre and post comparison test of heterogenous control group as experimental design. The research involved 80 baby boomers (born from 1955 to 1963, 40 persons in experimental group, 40 persons in control group) from 1st of September to 2016 to 15th of February, 2017 at D Education and Culture Center in D Metropolitan City. 12-session program of education for preparing death (100 minutes per education) was conducted in experimental group. To evaluate the effects of the experimental and control groups on the major dependent variables (the attitude on death and the meaning of life) at three intervals(pre-test, post-test, and 10 weeks follow-up), we used independent t-test, covariance test, ANCOVA, matching sample t-test, which showed meaningful influence on baby boomers’ attitude towards death and the change of meaning of their lives. Based on the results of this research, the proposal for base of managing and implementing program of death preparing education for baby boomers has been suggested.
