The purpose of this study was to analyze effect of art therapy program by using notable paintings appreciation on young children‘s self concept and emotional intelligence. Subjects were 5years old’s 50 kindergarten children in gyeong sang nam do. The subjects were divided into 2 groups: 25 young children‘s treatment groups and young children‘s general groups. Art therapy program by using notable paintings appreciation took over a total of 12 sessions, with each session lasting 60 minutes, and the session taking place once a week 3months. The research tools used in this study included the questionnaire for assessment scale of young children‘s self concept and emotional intelligence. Using SPSS statistics 21 for window, cronbach’s α, t verification, ANCOVA were used to analyze the data. Finding of the study are summarized as follows: First, art therapy program by using notable paintings appreciation had positive effects on young children‘s self concept. Second, art therapy program by using notable paintings appreciation had positive effects on young children‘s emotional intelligence.
