Taking a significant part in architectural design process and expression, a modeling has been utilized as a tool for verifying designer’s intention in various stages from schematic design / planning / design process to building completion. Although the Model is made and utilized in the architectural design process, rather than used at the design process after the architecture is completed Large proportion of what is produced in the presentation and communication purposes, an individual architect has a strong subjective propensity, and therefore, the model has not been logic and systematized. The present study has refreshed about a awareness of the architectural models, analyzes the model applications and classifies them into several types. So that can be used as data for creative, research scope is the representative 22 people architects who have used models from modern period to the present, as a result of analyzing the purpose, meaning, and time of the architecture model production, the models could be classified into the following : a type of deducting the concept which represents an symbolic, conceptual approach used to express the initial idea of the architect; a type of the process which represents an approach used for the feedback and verification of the design at each stage of the modeling process; and a type of interpreting the substance for expression of the final design results by the architect and smooth, mutual communication.
