The previous discussions pointed out that the secret of Kim yeong-rang's poems lied in the representation of the “mind,” which is a widely recognized fact in terms of investigating his poetic words, interpreting the meanings, and analyzing the structures. Interest in the mind makes the fundamental driving force of creation in the aspect of basic composition, topic content, and aesthetic consciousness. In Kim's works, the word “mind” usually exists as the vocabulary recorded in the letters instead of the meaning implicated in the contexts. The purposes of this study were to clearly define the connotations of the “mind” mentioned in his poetry and infer its meanings in the world of his works as a whole. To summarize the results of the demonstration, the word “mind” in his poems seems to be dually divided in the aspect of basic composition, topic content, and aesthetic consciousness. In the end, the connotations of the “mind” mentioned in his poems can be categorized into six in three aspects that make up the world of his poems. ㆍBasic composition: physical senses-speculative mentality ㆍTopic content: sensuous instinct-ideological will ㆍAesthetic consciousness: aesthetic sensibility-subjective conscio -usness
