The purpose of this study was to diagnose the current status of kindergarten teaching consulting, and analyze the kindergarten teacher's needs of contents and methods of kindergarten teaching consulting. Subjects of this study were 271 out of kindergarten teachers in Kyonggi area. The study was conducted to develop a questionnaire which was to understand the current status of kindergarten teaching consulting and the needs of the subjects, and then gather the data by distributing and collecting the questionnaire. Also, collected data was analyzed by Chi-square test and F-test. The results of this study were as follows: On the current status of kindergarten teaching consulting, the kindergarten teacher's recognition and experience of the consulting were insufficient. Kindergarten teachers had preference for practical consulting related with teaching performance, and wanted to be consulted with professors majored in Early Childhood Education or fellow teachers who had specialized knowledge rather than supervisors or kindergarten managers. On the period and method of consultation, kindergarten teachers wanted to be consulted at any time of the year whenever they needed, and they preferred face to face method. On successful teaching consulting, kindergarten teachers regarded the qualification and specialty of teaching consultants, and the willingness of the teachers to improve class as primary elements. Also, kindergarten teachers preferred using consulting results as in-service teacher training programs or examples of a teacher's guide book.
