First, as a result of analyzing the differences of each category of job stresses according to general characteristics, there was a significant correlation in the group of unmarried people, in their 20s, a relatively short work experience at a hospital or a lower position each other. Second, as a result of analyzing the difference of burnout according to general characteristics, there was a significant correlation in middle grade dental hygienists or in their 20s each other. Third, as a result of analyzing variables which have an effect on turnover intention according to general characteristics, there was a significant correlation in part-time hygienists who work at other places (like public health center, not dental clinic), middle grade dental hygienists or in their 20s each other. Fourth, as a result of analyzing routes aimed at figuring out the effects that job stress have influences on burnout and turnover intention, it shows that work-related factors had a direct effect on burnout and an indirect effect on turnover intention through burnout. In addition, the personal relation-related factors had a direct effect on burnout and turnover intention and also had an indirect effect on turnover intention through burnout. After all, burnout turned out to act as a mediator between job stress and turnover intention, and it shows that working environment-related factors and role-related factors didn’t have a direct or indirect effect on burnout and turnover intention.
