The purpose of this study is estimating the farmer's monthly income risk in Korean rice market. The risks were estimated using monthly price and opportunity cost over 1991. 11. ~ 2003. 10. Logistic or Extreme Value cumulative function was found best the case by case. The results showed that it is most profitable to sell rice in November and this is the reason why farmers sell most of their rice in November. The average monthly income except for November varied within the limit of four percent lower than that of November. In the case when the average income increase in off-crop season, the increase were not enough to compensate for price increase and opportunity cost.
