This investigation was conducted into 39 female professional golfers in order to determine their nutrition intakes during rounding and usual dietary preferences and habits, while comparing the golfers with ordinary female collegians. The findings are listed in the following: 1. Female professional golfers have significantly high values in taking in such nutrients as total energies, protein, fat, sugar, phosphorus, iron, sodium, potassium, zinc, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, niacin, folic acid, total fatty acid, saturated fatty acid, unsaturated fatty acid and multi-unsaturated fatty acid(p<.05). 2. There is no significant difference in the usual dietary preferences for a total of 13 food groups, between female professional golfers and ordinary female collegians. 3. There is no significant difference in the usual dietary habits of a total of 10 items, between female professional golfers and ordinary female collegians. This study is the first-ever investigation into professional golfers' nutrition intakes during rounding. This study's findings of their usual dietary preferences and habits show similar results to the other investigations but not perfectly in concert with them. Long-term researches and countermeasures are also required to make incumbent golf coaches aware of the importance of nutrition intakes, as part of total care for female and male professional golfers.
