The Dividing Rhymes(杜律分韻) is a copy of Du Fu(杜甫)’s Chinese poems, which compiled by Jeong Jo (正祖) and other Choseon scholars during the Choseon dynasty of Jeong Jo. This copy of Du Fu’s poems is about 700 poems with five syllables in each line(五言) and seven syllables in each line(칠언(七言)) are selected. The texts of these poems were printed in the same style of standard language(整理字) used in the palace at the time, and the later years, it was published several times in the palace as a printed book and wood-block printed books in the local districts. There are many copies of a woodblock printed books about the Dividing Rhymes(杜律分韻). As it’s background of printing, editing processes and the influences on future generations are complicate, this study focuses on the printing process and its influence on later understanding of Du Fu’s Chinese poems from publisher’s perspectives. Through this study, it is regarded as it is valuable in terms of compiling and publishing literature texts related to Du Fu(杜甫)’s Chinese poetry during the period of Choseon dynasty of Jeong Jo, and researching into the spreading of Du Fu(杜甫)’s Chinese poetry.
