Domestic tourists who have visited border areas tend to visit diverse tourism spatial during their single tour. This study examines the tourism spatial behavior patterns of tourists by using social network analysis. This study utilized raw data from the 2021 Gyeonggi province tourist survey data conducted by the Gyeonggi tourism organization. The raw data were converted to bipartite data type using Ucinet software for social network analysis. Of the social network analysis techniques, density analysis, in/out-degree centrality analysis, betweenness centrality, and link analysis were applied to investigate the characteristics of network structure. Analysis results are as follows: density analysis revealed that the connection patterns of tourism spatial were concentrated into a few tourism spatial. In-degree centrality analysis disclosed that Imjingak Pavilion, Heyri Art Village, and Provence Village have a high in-degree centrality score. Out-degree centrality analysis confirmed that Imjingak Pavilion, Heyri Art Village, and Odusan Unification Tower have a higher out-degree score than other tourism spatial. Betweenness centrality analysis represented that in the previous results of the in/out centrality analysis, Bangujeong was not derived as a tourism spatial with a high centrality score, but it was found to have a high betweenness centrality score. Lastly, link analysis presented that between Imjingak Pavilion and must-eat restaurant in Paju was the core linkage within tourism spatial network. Implications for developing sustainable border area tourism and the limitation of this study are discussed in the conclusion.
