This paper explores the difference of status of the two implications that arise from Korean evidential sentences, and their interactions in the course of interpretation. The research shows that at-issue content and not-at-issue content interact bi-directionally in the temporal and modal interpretation of an evidential sentence. As such, the empirical patterns observed in Korean evidential sentences pose a problem for the formal systems that have been proposed by Faller (2002) and Potts (2005), and argue for a dynamic semantic approach to at-issue/not-at-issue meaning distinctions and their interactions. The study provides a formal dynamic semantic analysis in line with Murray (2010) and AnderBois et al. (2015).
