Since most people spend about 90% of their time indoors at home or work, indoor air quality (IAQ) highly impacts human health. The first step to managing IAQ is monitoring various indoor facilities. In this study, PM<SUB>2.5</SUB> and CO₂ were measured for six months in 15 facilities using an internet of things (IoT) system and measurement devices. Before monitoring, correction was conducted through comparison between measurement sensors. Next, the measurement sensors were calibrated using the data from the air quality monitoring station (AQMS) in Naepo New Town. Monitoring was conducted in the library, cinema, educational, and several convenience facilities. The daily and weekly variations were analyzed for each site. The coffee shop and cinema had higher concentrations on weekends for both PM<SUB>2.5</SUB> and CO₂ due to the increased number of users. On the other hand, PM<SUB>2.5</SUB> and CO₂ in educational facilities decreased due to fewer users on weekends. Diurnal variation readings showed that PM<SUB>2.5</SUB> increased during the daytime in almost all facilities, while PM<SUB>2.5</SUB> increased in the coffee shop at night. In contrast to PM<SUB>2.5</SUB>, the diurnal variation in CO₂ was constant in nearly all facilities except in the coffee shop; the CO₂ readings rose rapidly after 9 AM and peaked at 4 PM in the cafe. This study focuses on the overall indoor air quality in Naepo New Town. In the future, we plan to conduct a detailed study on each facility’s IAQ management methods.
