Effect of the Social Relationship of the Elderlyon Effective Old-age Management-Focusing on the Mediating Effect of Self-efficacyMyeongdong Son & Heemyung Bang Abstract: The purpose of this study is to examine the factors that influence the social relationship of the elderly on effective old-age management. By using effective old-age management as a dependent variable and social relationship as an independent variable as self-efficacy as parameters, the relationship between social relations and efficient old-age management The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effect of self-efficacy in relationships. For this purpose, questionnaires were distributed and collected for those aged 65 and over who voluntarily wanted to participate. For statistical processing of the collected data, descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and SPSS-mediated regression analysis were performed using SPSS WIN 21.0. As a result of the verification, it was found that as the social relationship of the elderly increased, it had a positive effect on self-efficacy and efficient old-age management. Based on the results adopted through this verification, policy implications that can increase the level of successful aging of the elderly are presented. In the follow-up study, it is expected that research that can successfully raise the level of old-age management of the elderly through qualitative research such as in-depth interviews and participatory observation will continue.
