This study sought to systematically review research literature on social and emotional intervention programs for slow learning children so as to present directions and implications of the programs. Papers at home and abroad published from 2001 to 2021 were collected via an electronic database search system and among them, 32 papers were selected for the analysis. The analysis was made under the framework of: literature attributes, intervention methods based on theoretical grounds, intervention topics, evaluation, structural factors, effectiveness, suggestions, and discussions. The study showed that while there have been constant researches on the cognitive aspect of slow learning children, there are not many that focus on the social and emotional aspects that is essential for them to adapt to society. Therefore, social and policy support related to the psychological aspect of slow learners are in need and relevant studies ought to be conducted on a constant basis.
