Purpose: This research created a hypothesis with the aim of understanding the influence of patient satisfaction of semi-permanent makeup-a rising social trend in the beauty industry - on positivity or negativity effect. Methods: The research method was general characteristics, exploratory factor analysis, reliability T-test, correlation analysis, and regression analysis of 241 women who had experience of semi-permanent makeup treatment from 20s to 50s residing in Seoul and Gyeonggido. The method is SPSS v. 21.0 was used. Results: First, as a result of observing whether semi-permanent patient satisfaction had a positive influence on the positivity effect, it was shown that the higher the patient satisfaction in the procedural environment the higher the positivity effect, while there was a higher positivity effect when there was a higher patient satisfaction in the explanation and technique of the procedure well. Second, as a result of observing whether semi-permanent patient satisfaction had a negative influence on the negativity effect, it was shown that the higher the satisfaction in the technique, explanation and environment of the procedure the lower the negativity effect. Conclusions: Therefore, if there is improvement in society’s generally negative view on semi-permanent makeup, semi-permanent makeup will establish itself as an everyday, high-dimensional techno-culture in the beauty industry. Through it, the domestic beauty industry will be vitalized and there will be an increased preference of K-Beauty in the global market, resulting in a diverse range of synergistic effects.
