Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine literature on oral health for military personnel. Research trend analysis is needed to further confirm the research required for military personnel. Through this scoping review of literature, the limitations of existing research and future research directions were suggested. Methods: The method of this study is a scoping review, which is a method for qualitatively reviewing and reinterpreting previous studies with the literature review method. This study used the scoping review method, which comprises six stages: 1) identifying the research question, 2) identifying relevant studies, 3) study selection, 4) charting the data, 5) collating, summarizing, and reporting results. Results: A small amount of oral health-related research on military personnel has been reported steadily in academia. And it is being researched not only in the medical field but also in various fields. Most of the research subjects are the Army, and the subject is limited to the actual conditions and behaviors related to oral health. Conclusions: This study is significant in that it sought the direction of development of oral health for military personnel. It is suggested when planning oral health studies for military personnel.
