This paper aims to clarify that modern Korean Mix-scripts are originated from those of the quickening period, namely mixedscripts which were mostly used in Great Han Empire. The author discussed this subject using essays and editorials written in those periods, focusing on ① how the mixed-scripts in the quickening period are composed and ② finding the stages of modernizing processes of the mixed-scripts and explaining how and why the changes should happen. In chapter 3, the author suggested that the modernizing processes were realized in 5 stages and the processes of modernization have occurred gradually during that periods. With the results investigating the editorials of Dong-A Il Bo which were written in 1920 and 1935, the author also concluded that the modernizing processes have complished some time between 1920∼1935. In chapter 4, we considered the motivations of modernization of the Korean mixed-scripts, and suggested that the awareness for the unification of written and spoken language have provoked the modernization processes during that periods
