In this study, efficacy of capsaicin extract on activation of eyebrow growth was tested for 15 volunteers whose eyebrows are unbalanced based on density, length, and thickness. We measured the length, thickness, density, and degree of damage of the eyebrows before and after the treatment. After the treatment, there has been statistically significant increase in length (26.4%), thickness (36.3%), and density (60.0%). The growth of the eyebrows was clearly visible on the picture and the thickness calculated by pixel numbers was significantly increased by 29.7%. In summary, we have demonstrated that the application of capsaicin extract stimulates eyebrow growth in adults and can be used as a treatment to improve unbalanced eyebrows. However, further studies will be required to test its effectiveness in a wider range of population.
