The purpose of this study is that EM fermentation broth contained natural cosmetics formula effect to facial skin irritability improvement caused by greasepaint. 8 people for a control group (not containing EM fermentation broth) and 8 people for an experimental group (containing 25 g of EM fermentation broth) were participated in this study from August 19, 2014 to October 19, 2014. Before applying greasepaint, both control group and experimental group were required to apply natural cosmetics formula to their faces made for each group, then the skin condition were measured after 3 hours of applying greasepaint and washing faces. The result were compared and analyzed. The result showed a tendency of control group 53% decrease (p<0.01), EM group 12% decrease in sebum, control group 3% increase, EM group 16% increase (p<0.001) in moisture, control group 1% decrease, EM group 6% decrease (p<0.01) in melamine index, and control group 7% increase (p<0.01), EM group 3% decrease in erythema index. Related to skin tone, the result tended to show that control group 1% increase (p<0.05), EM group 2% increase in hue, control group 4 increase (p<0.05), EM group 1% increase in chroma, and control group 1% increase, EM group 5% increase in value. Control group tended to increase 3%, while EM group tended to decrease 8% for the number of blackhead. As a result, the antioxidant property of EM fermentation broth seemed to be effective to facial skin irritability improvement caused by greasepaint.
