At present, We are in a time of significant social change. Advances in science and technology are profoundly changing the way we live. This forces us to readjust our educational model to these changes. Neuroaesthetics is the intersection of neuroscience, psychology, and art. It is a study of aesthetic experience and the neurological basis of artistic creation, and aesthetic experience is divided into three interrelated systems:Sensory-motor, Emotion-valuation system, and Knowledge-meaning system. Aesthetic education, as a modern education, aims to train students to perceive, judge and understand beauty independently so as to improve their personality. This paper takes the development of aesthetic education in Beijing colleges and universities as the research object in order to find the deficiency of aesthetic education at present and put forward an improvement plan. It is found that there are three problems in aesthetic education in colleges and universities.
First, there is a lack of scientific classification of course contents. Secondly, the teaching mode lacks emotional experience. Third, teaching ignores a diverse environment. Vision is an important channel of feeling beautiful, so aesthetic education should fit with the visual principle of the brain and combine with the three systems of the neuroaesthetic idea. Three improvement schemes of visual aesthetic education based on this are proposed.
Firstly, the content of the course should be optimized on the basis of enhanced visual perception. Secondly, improve the teaching mode with the goal of enriching emotion. Third, develop a second classroom that enhances the physical experience.Taking the existing problems of aesthetic education in colleges and universities as the starting point and combining them with the visual principle of neuroaesthetics, this paper puts forward the aesthetic education method of the scientific era, which will provide a theoretical reference for aesthetic education in the future.
