This paper explores the use of NFC technology for a reliable Academia Identification Card System (AICS) in educational institutions. NFC enables wireless communication between devices and offers advantages like cost reduction, faster connections, and enhanced security compared to traditional ID card technologies. The proposed AICS system identifies students and grants access to restricted areas like exam halls, laboratories, and libraries. It complies with the Nigerian National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) act, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information. This research aims to overcome existing identification system challenges and utilize NFC technology"s benefits. The conclusion emphasizes the significance of NFC and IoT technologies in enhancing access control and verification systems. The proposed system includes clear specifications and an efficient working program for effective computerized operation.
