As the 4th Industrial Revolution began, the importance of cyber security is being emphasized again. In the hyper-connected society, the emergence of cyberspace has also been developed in various ways to look at security threats. In particular, due to the special security situation of the Korean Peninsula, the information sector is emerging as a new security threat due to the threat of non-traditional security, and it also raises concerns about threats from cyberattacks, an asymmetrical power from North Korea. The recent spread of the COVID-19 epidemic and deepening conflicts in Northeast Asia, including the US and China, raise concerns about the threat of cybersecurity at the international level.
This paper would intend to discuss the aspects of cybersecurity threats and countermeasures with the advent of the fourth industrial revolution. First, it analyzes the threat of cyber security following the 4th Industrial Revolution and expands from traditional security to comprehensive security with the rise of human security in national security. In addition, we analyze major issues related to cybersecurity and discuss ways to use cyberspace peacefully.
