The characteristics of young people"s lives and weak labor markets reviewed in this article have continuous characteristics from the past, but differences revealed in recent years are also confirmed. First, unstable jobs are intensifying amid changes in the external environment such as industrial structure and technological development. Freelancers and platform labor are typical, from ultra-short jobs. Therefore, the youth labor market is in the blind spot of social safety nets such as education, training, and unemployment benefits. Second, in the life and journey of young people, economic problems such as housing and student loans after leaving school are at a serious level. In addition, the need for social protection is confirmed for social isolation, seclusion, self-reliance preparation youth, and family care youth. Third, COVID-19 has deepened more shock and inequality among young people. It had a negative impact from jobs to mental health, and gender differences within the younger generation were also confirmed. Such scarring effects are tasks that our social community as well as the state and society must solve in the future.
