This study derived quantitative results by conducting a big data analysis using text mining to empirically analyze in detail Koreans' sentiments after COVID-19. To this end, keywords related to China were collected through various portals such as Naver, Daum, and Google while keywords related to Korea were collected through Baidu. The collection period was set from January 2020 to October 2022 to filter out unnecessary keywords and use only relevant keywords for the research. Through the results from this analysis, it is expected that Korea and China will be able to analyze quantitatively their respective sentiments on COVID-19, based on key factors and away from vaguely reviewing negative views on each other. This study focused on three research tasks. First, this paper attempted to derive the key keywords used by young people in Korea and China, that is, the MZ generation after the pandemic, through text mining. Second, after COVID-19, we tried to grasp the semantic network between keywords related to mutual recognition of the MZ generation in Korea and China. Third, this paper attempted to visualize the degree of positivity and negativity of mutual recognition for the MZ generation in Korea and China derived through the semantic network of major keywords. In conducting such a study, it was found that young Koreans showed a clear negative view of China compared to the MZ generation in China. It is necessary to critically consider how negative views on each other affect Korea-China relations. In addition, it is expected to present meaningful implications for the establishment of effective data and strategies for the transformation of Korea-China relations, especially the MZ generation, by citing various causes as analysis factors.
