This study aims at the clothing preference of amputated males among the disabled who are increasing in number in apace with development of modern society. By comprehending their preference, this work would be able to provide basic materials in developing the appropriate clothing suitable to them and give contribution to the fashion industry for special costume in response to the change in industrial market in a detained manner. The main coverage of research is an analysis about preference study of lower limb male amputee's clothing. For the research method, review was performed over the clothing literature of men with a lower limb amputation and questionnaire method in closed-ended type was used to analyze their preference. As to the research material, information data base available inside and outside country, network screening, dissertation, and diverse publications including separation volumes were utilized. Results showed that those males with a lower limb amputation prefer the design aspect to the practical aspect whey they purchase their wear and that they feel uncomfortable in both upper wear and lower wear. With regard to the design factor in general, there was no difference according to disability characteristic. However, some different requests appeared according to disability kind and degree in the matter of functional design with consideration of it. Therefore, it is proper that the characteristics should be taken into consideration by the disabled bodily region in developing the clothing. Also, a wider spectrum of disabled persons' clothing should be examined to meet the psychological desire as well as the functional satisfaction.
