The growth of the sharing economy is attributed to changes in consumer spending patterns since the global financial crisis, technological advancements, and increased awareness of environmental pollution. Personal mobility sharing platforms align with the efficient use of resources, catering to the consumption patterns of modern consumers, and are gaining attention as an alternative that can alleviate traffic congestion and environmental issues in major cities. Alongside the expansion of the sharing economy, personal mobility sharing platforms, such as electric scooter sharing, are growing rapidly. However, research in this field is not yet actively conducted. Therefore, this study, based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology(UTAUT), aims to provide insights into the factors influencing the acceptance of personal mobility(electric scooter) sharing platforms and their impact on user behavior in the Seoul metropolitan area. The results of the study indicate that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and environmental value factors positively influence the formation of user intention and subsequently drive user behavior. Additionally, facilitating conditions were confirmed to have a direct positive effect on user behavior.
