The purpose of this study is to analyze the data of the 7th data of Human Dimension Survey of Size Korea for male students aged 16-18 who are later teenagers to find out the trends and characteristics of body shape change. The aim of this study is to provide basic data for the design of upper body clothing for adolescent boys. The data for this study was analyzed by SPSS 25.0 statistical program. The height, length, circumference, and width items increased with age, and continued to grow. However, there was no difference in the thickness items according to age, so that the growth of body thickness was rapid and the growth was completed early. The circumference item showed the body shape that widened upward in the order of breast, chest and waist circumference. In the height item, it was found that the growth of the front center length was slower than the growth of the height of the back or the neck. In the length item, the arm length / back length was larger as the age became smaller, indicating that the upper body length developed later and the growth of the arm length was completed quickly. The circumference, width, and thickness item did not differ according to age, indicating that chest, bust, and waist circumference developed proportionally. Vertical growth of the upper male torso of late adolescents is followed by the growth of the height and the growth of the upper body. And horizontal growth continued. It was analyzed that the growth of arm length, shoulder length, neck circumference, armpit circumference, wrist circumference, upper arm circumference and torso thickness was completed rapidly and did not grow in later stage of adolescence. Therefore, this study is meaningful in that it provided the basic information necessary for the production of adolescent clothing through the characteristics of upper body growth of male adolescents.
