In this paper, a high-voltage-gain switched-capacitor/inductor-based dc-dc converter is presented. There is a technique used in topology to eliminate the input current ripple which has a direct effect on the lifespan of the input voltage source. There is a low-volume switched-capacitor/inductor-based cell combined with two different switched-capacitor-based cells to increase the voltage level. The pulsating topology of the proposed converter is also presented for comparison. Although the voltage gain of the proposed converter is improved in comparison to other compared switched-capacitor-based converters, the voltage stress on its switches is lower. The designed value for the inductors is small, as a result, the overall size of the converter would be comparable with the non-isolated converters. This paper presents the optimal suitable combination of the hybrid converter with zero-input-current ripple, high-voltage- gain, and low switching stress, an analysis of the proposed topologies, and the demonstration of the converter’s operation through simulation results.
