The purpose of this study was to redefine growth stage of sports companies and establish essential support strategies according to the growth stage by using theoretical review, expert interview, and businesses survey. The results of this study were as follows. First, average annual growth rate was used to distinguish between growth stages because most sports companies were small and petty. Based on this criteria, growth stages of sports companies divided into ''start-up/low growing period'', ''growing period'', ''high-growing period'', and ''second leap period''. Second, special financial support and legal support was needed in ''start-up/low growing period'', consulting related to entrepreneurship education and capacity building was needed in ''growing period'', supports about overseas certification system and patent acquisition was needed in ''high-growing period, and supports regarding re-education and offing diverse source of information was needed in ''second leap period''. Third, The expansion of the loan business, participation in overseas exhibitions, and basic consulting support were shown as common support strategies.
