This study examines the programs that enhance teaching competence in learning centers affiliated with universities in Korea and analyzes the recognition of the program operated by K University. This study includes a survey on instructors’ recognition of programs for enhancing teaching competence and accordingly explores effective methods to operate the programs. Instructors’ recognition of the programs was investigated for one month, during December 2020. The results were analyzed using SPSS 25.0. Frequency analysis and t-test were carried out for further. Significant results were observed between the necessity of some programs for competence enhancement and the intention to participate and between all programs for competence enhancement and intention to participate. Based on the results, this study suggests three measures for enhancing teaching competence. The limitations of this study a it includes only the instructors participating in the survey, particularly among those working at K University. It is necessary to conduct a complete enumeration survey, analyze differences in instructors’ perception, major, or years of experience, and also design a customized program. Follow-up research should focus on performance management to improve the quality of the programs for enhancing teaching competence and circulate them appropriately.
