Report Errors

This study verified the mediating effects of nonself between crisis and psychological flexibility in middle-aged women. To this end, an online survey was conducted with 300 middle-aged women across the country using mid-life crisis, psychological flexibility, and nonself scales. Factor analysis was conducted to examine the validity of the variables, the collected data were analyzed with SPSS 22.0 and SPSS PROCESS Macro. This study performed Pearson correlation analysis, regression analysis and bootstrapping methods. The analysis results are as follows. First, the results showed a partial mediating effect of nonself in the relationship between crisis and psychological flexibility. Second, In the relationship between the sense of crisis and psychological flexibility of middle-aged women, the sub-factor of nonself was simultaneously injected to verify the parallel multi-mediation model, and only the mediating effect of non-attachment was found. This study is significant in that it provides basic data that reveals the possibility of applying the non-attachment of nonself as an effective method to prevent the negative effects of the sense of crisis experienced by middle-aged women and psychological flexibility.
