The global Christian community is currently experiencing an unprecedented season of harvest in Islamic missions. Numerous Muslims are becoming disillusioned with Islam, and through opportunities such as migrant labor or studying abroad, they have come into contact with Christianity, had the chance to hear the gospel, and as a result, many are experiencing conversion. This large-scale harvest among Muslims has been particularly noticeable over the past 25 years.
In South Korea, which has transitioned into a multicultural society, churches have been actively discussing and expanding their outreach to migrants, and related ministries have steadily grown. However, there has been little substantial movement in missions targeting Muslim migrants and BMBs (Belivers from Muslim Background). The reasons for this include unfamiliarity with Islamic culture, fear stemming from biased information, and a lack of expertise in Islamic studies.
To overcome these barriers within the Korean church and help it participate in God’s work among Muslim migrants, a missionary This study introduces the 『Come Follow Me』 discipleship program, which has been widely used in mission fields and has yielded significant ministry outcomes among BMBs. The study explores the design and intent behind the program, as well as the accompanying training for leaders and facilitators. Additionally, it aims to propose ways to apply 『Come Follow Me』 in the context of Korean church missions to Muslim migrants.
