While developing new digital technologies is important for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the fashion industry, optimizing a stable environment for their use is equally necessary. As online fashion shopping has emerged as a dominant business model, SMEs have been negatively affected as there are relatively few digital technologies capable of improving their business efficiency available to them. This highlights the limited capabilities of SMEs, making it difficult for them to adopt digital technologies. To address these challenges and enhance competitiveness, this study focuses on developing a web-based virtual fitting recommendation platform matching fashion products and backgrounds by analyzing those emotional features.
This study identifies a two-track approach to platform construction. First, a back office is built to ensure the stability and efficiency of the recommendation platform. Image analysis results would be retrieved based on PHP language with MariaDB RDBMS. In the second step, the online showroom UX would be designed to help users explore recommended background images based on the results of image analyses. Product images can also be adjusted and newly synthesized with the recommended background images with the visualized image analysis results in the platform. This platform will not only overcome resource limitations but also create a powerful tool for SMEs with the ability to compete in the current market.
