In order to grow crops in a greenhouse, it is necessary to ensure enough insolation into the room. However, the insulation level is lower than that of a general building, and the heating and cooling load due to ventilation is very high compared to a building because crops need to grow through sufficient ventilation. Nevertheless, to ensure food security even in winter, it is necessary to maintain the temperature and humidity that crops can grow, it has a very complex energy-intensive structure. Since the cooling load of greenhouses is very high, facilities for heating greenhouses in winter are mainly built, and kerosene boilers or electric boilers are built due to relatively low initial construction cost and operating energy costs such as tax-free oil and agricultural electricity. However, greenhouses are one of the most energy-intensive facilities in crop production, using a lot of heating energy compared to the energy use of general open field agriculture. In this study, to increase the renewable energy sharing rate of greenhouses, photovoltaic and thermal, solar thermal, and seasonal thermal energy storage based renewable energy convergence system is proposed. In order to investigate the energy performance of the proposed system, Purme Yeoju Farm located in Yeoju City was selected as a test site. Then, the operation results for one year in 2022 after the commissioning period in 2021 were analyzed based on the experimental results.
