Currently, motors of electric vehicles sold on the market mainly use permanent magnet-embedded synchronous motors that use the magnetic field of magnets by purchasing permanent magnets to rotors, and direct oil cooling is used to minimize the impact of heat generated by vehicle driving. In the case of the cooling system of a conventional drive motor, cooling for a rotor is not applied, but a cooling system for a stator coil and a stator core is applied. Two eight-hole straight pipes are positioned side by side on the top of the motor, the EOP is operated by RPM that changes as the vehicle is driven, and oil is sprayed at a flow rate of up to 10 LPM. As a result of the analysis of Base Dell, it was determined that the reliability of the model was verified with an average error rate of 1.2% and a maximum error rate of 3%. Next, thermal analysis was conducted by applying two cooling solutions to the rotor, and the first case is the rotor internal cooling method using the rotor hollow axis, and the second case is the rotor external surface cooling method using an annular pipe. In the case of the first case, the cooling performance was at least 6.7% to up to 10.3%, and in the case of the second case, the cooling performance was 2.5% to 13.7%.
