This study presents a high-efficiency dual-band rectifier with an extended frequency range. The proposed rectifier comprises a voltage doubler with shunt capacitors and an independent dual-band impedance control network (IDICN). The proposed IDICN, which comprises λ/4 shorted stubs at 3.4 GHz and two series transmission lines, can independently manipulate the input impedance seen from the voltage doubler at two frequencies within optimal input power range for high power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) at 2.45 and 3.4 GHz. The IDICN enables precise input impedance at 50 Ω at both 2.45 and 3.4 GHz simultaneously. The structure of the voltage doubler with shunt capacitors ensures similar input impedance across a wide frequency range. For validation, the proposed rectifier was implemented and verified. The implemented rectifier achieved PCEs of 74.7% and 74.4% at 2.45 and 3.4 GHz, respectively. The PCE was maintained at over 50% in the input power ranges of 7.9–21.9 dBm and 6.9–21.9 dBm at 2.45 and 3.4 GHz, respectively. The measured peak PCE of over 70% remained within the broad dual bands of 1.8–2.6 GHz and 2.9–3.4 GHz, which have a similar input impedance as 2.45 and 3.4 GHz.
