The purpose of this study is to promote the Job-seeking Efficacy of Self-Reliant Program participants and seek the policy implication, as Job-seeking Efficacy was found out to be the psychology factor that facilitates the job-seeking activity and affects the employment possibility of Self-Reliant Program Participants.
This study used a questionnaire form to Survey total 303 self-Reliant Program Participants who participated eleven local self-support centers in the Jeonbuk province and used statistical analysis for SPSS Window 12.0 to examine a hypothesis with the survey result
At first, this study carried frequencies, descriptive statistics, reliability test for Cronbach''α coefficient and factor analysis in order to estimate measurement tool. Second, this study adopted independent sample t-test and one-way ANOVA so as to examine whether there is any difference in Job-seeking efficacy according to general characteristics of respondants
Third, this study carried correlation analysis among the principle factors and validated multicolinearity, yes or not.
Finally, this study carried multi-regression analysis and examined hypothesis to find out whether each dependent factor affected job-seeking efficacy.
Major findings are as follows.
First, the result showed that there was significantly a statistic difference among the groups on age, health condition, schooling, licence possession whether or not, work career, self-esteem and sense of depression. That is, it was found that job-seeking efficacy became lower in the group with higher age, worse health condition, lower schooling, no licence possession, no work career, lower self-esteem, higher sence of depression.
Second, analysis result showed that job-seeking efficacy was significancy related with schooling, licence possession whether or not, health condition, work career, self-esteem, sense of depression after controlling demographic-socio characteristics.
Finally, as a result of carrying multi-regression analysis, it was found that self-esteem was the most important factor associated with self-seeking efficacy and work career, sense of depression, schooling and experience of absolute poverty were associated with job-seeking efficacy.
Based on these results, the following was represented the political, practical implication to promote job-seeking efficacy.
First, they suggest that political and practical plan is necessary to promote job-seeking efficacy of the Self-Reliant Program Participants.
Second, council and related programs promoting psychological factors so as self-esteem and sense of depression were necessary for promoting job-seeking efficacy.
Finally, they suggest that institutional support plan like workshop-experience and Self-Reliant internship business is necessary to promote job-seeking efficacy of Self-Reliant Program Participants.
