Automobile headlamps are a modern convenience in many of today’s cars, and the design of automobile headlamps has been developing consistently. Especially, the vision enhancement system called headlamp aimer plays important roles in improving the visibility of automobile headlamps by analysing headlamp beam patterns. In this study, an analytical method for headlamp beam patterns is suggested and for this, a vision enhancement system is developed. This system uses image processing technology to analyze headlamp beam patterns of halogen headlamps, high-intensity discharge headlamps, and light-emitting diode headlamps as well.
