Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the shear bond strength between the zirconia and veneer ceramic.
Materials and methods: Zirconia specimens with diameter 15 ㎜ × thickness 2 ㎜ fabricated 3Y-TZP was used, and the lamination ceramic automotive applying IPS e.max ceram was used. In order to increase the surface roughness of the zirconia, # 600, # 800, # 1000, # 1500 # 2000 SiC abrasive; After polishing of the mixed acid solution HF corrosion treatment; After polishing, SIE (selective infiltration etching) treatment; 50 ㎛ alumina 4 atm pressure sandblasting; After the sandblasting of the mixed acid solution HF corrosion treatment; after the sandblasting SIE treatment. dividing each group of the zirconia Liner-treatment and non-treatment after the surface treatment with a central portion 6 ㎜ × thickness 3 ㎜ diameter such that the firing process the ceramic automotive loading rate 0.5 ㎜/min with shear tests were carried out by applying a load.
Result: In the mean shear bond strength Polished, SIE (selective infiltration etching) process, Liner treatment in a group at the same time (10.61 ± 5.4) MPa as the highest, After blasting corrosion treatment, HF corrosion treatment, Liner treated group (17.85 ± 2.9) MPa was identified as the lowest.
Conclusion: blasting and SIE (selective infiltration etching) treatment, Liner and the simultaneous processing of zirconia core and veneerig ceramic is increased the shear bond strength between was confirmed.
