In case of housing, it can be divided roughly into a personal living space, communal living space, household work space, physiological- hygienic space, and subsidiary space, and illumination for each space comes to be planned according to living behavior and space characteristics. The learning space among the personal living space of housing is the place used for learning rather than taking a rest, so it''s necessary to secure brightness above all as a quantitative aspect of illumination, and to do reasonable, efficient lighting design lest there should be eye strain even in case of long-time reading or visual work behavior. In addition, in case of the learning space, lighting environment has a lot of influences on a user''s psychological stability, concentration and learning performance, so it''s necessary to have lots of attention to lighting environment improvement according to space characteristics. However, there are many cases where adequate brightness in need fails to be secured yet, and the case of application of auxiliary lighting system ,which lowers eye strain, is still insufficient. According as growing are voices urging the necessity of having to reduce energy consumption, and to minimize green house gas(hereinafter, referred to as "GHG")emission by using an alternative light source as a measure against the increase in energy consumption resulting from the use of the high-electric power, low efficiency, non-eco-friendly incandescent bulb & the fluorescent light, LED lighting is receiving attention. LED has been developed and researched as a light source that will replace the incandescent bulb & the fluorescent light because it is suited for low-consumption, high efficiency and eco-friendliness, and from early March, 2014, the Korea Land and Housing Corporation(LH)actually began to apply LED light fixtures at the living room of rental housing. Like this, there is the need to extract lighting concept design factors for suggesting the lighting environment, which meets users'' various requirements consequent on behavior at a learning space, by reflecting the social environment and characteristics of a lighting source.
Accordingly, this study intended to conduct an experiment on sensibility evaluation consequent on lighting environment at a Mock-up space, to which LED lighting having low power, high efficiency, eco-friendly characteristics was applied, in a bid to deduce optimal color temperature and illumination scope by major behavior in a learning space among the housing space. This study is intending to suggest the research results as design data for lighting plan for a learning space, which meet both functional aspects and affective aspects, and the results are as follows:
1. As a result of evaluating the preferred lighting system by behavior, this study judged that in case of an access & general behavior, the general lighting system might be suitable in the light of the most basic behavior other than visual work behavior, and in case of reading, combined lighting system of general lighting and local lighting might be suitable. This study thinks that it''s because the bigger the illumination gap between working surface and its surroundings, the more the visual displeasure and eye strain increase. In case of working at the computer, it''s judged that suitable might be the lighting environment, which could decrease visual displeasure & fatigue, etc. through the combined lighting method of general lighting and local lighting because a user looks at the working surface having a lighting-emitting surface by the nature of computer work, As a result of evaluating the preferred lighting method of computer work, it was found that the preference for general lighting for visual comfort was evaluated higher than local lighting for concentration improvement, through which this study thinks users seemed to put more importance on visual comfort on the strength of the decrease in glare than concentration in spite of visual work behavior.
2. There was partially a difference according to each behavior in case of the lighting method drawn through the optimal lighting method by behavior and color temperature illumination scope deduction evaluation experiment, but the scope of color temperature was found to be not much different but similar.
3. The light environment in time of an access and general behavior was analyzed to be optimal in general lighting illumination 300~400 lx in color temperature 4500K of general lighting method. 300~400lx, which was the illumination scope drawn through average analysis & impact analysis result by category, was found to be brighter than maximum value standard illumination of ‘60-100-150 lx’, which is the illumination scope suggested as the illumination standard of a study room or a study of KS housing, by more than twice at least.
4. The recommended lighting method in time of reading books is the combined method of general lighting and local lighting, and the color temperature and illumination scope drawn as a result of average analysis & impact analysis were found to be 40 ∼ 100 lx in general lighting illumination of color temperature 6000K. The drawn illumination scope of general lighting was found to be 2.67~2.39:1 as a result of the analysis of luminance ratio between working surface and nearby working surface, and such a ratio was found to be in a lower scope than the recommended luminance ratio 3:1, which is recommended as the lighting environment in time of reading.
5. The recommended lighting method in time of computer work is the combined method of general lighting and local lighting, and as a result of average analysis and impact analysis by category, the drawn color temperature and illumination scope were found to be 20 ∼40 lx in general lighting illumination of color temperature 4500K. As a result of the analysis of luminance ratio between the working surface and nearby working surface in the drawn scope, the ratio was found to be 4.92~4.78:1, showing a higher ratio than the recommended luminance ratio of 3:1 by about 1.92~1.78. Though the ratio was found to be higher than the recommended luminance ratio by 1.92~1.78, this study recommends the combined lighting method as the lighting environment in time of computer work in the light of the high preference as the lighting environment for an occupant''s visual comfort and work efficiency.
6. The research result showed that the color temperature and illumination scope, which a user preferred and felt comfort from, were different depending on the behavior in a learning space.
