The purpose of this research is to develop ‘safety education curriculum‘s Content for students with intellectual disabilities’ the chief research method adopted is literature analysis, survey, Delphi technique.
The first safety education curriculum''s content for students with intellectual disabilities developed curriculum were devised through safety education materials and various statistical data and 7 safety education standards(Ministry of Education, Korea 2015).
30 experts participated in the Delphi survey to examine the content suitability. Based on the average, standard deviation, consistency and convergence values, CVR(Content Validity ratio) and experts opinions, the school safety education curriculum‘s Content for students with intellectual disabilities was developed.
208 teachers who teach intellectual disabilities students participated in the survey to determine whether the curriculum content system developed through the Delphi survey is suitable for the educational field.
According to the research result, subjects of the safety education curriculum‘s Content for students with intellectual disabilities were divided home, leisure and culture facilities, educational facilities, transportation facilities and other facilities. the elements of curriculum contents were organized total 53 contents including 8 contents for home, 9 contents for leisure and culture facilities, 8 contents educational facilities and 9 contents for transportation facilities and 19 contents for other facilities.
The safety education curriculum‘s Content of school for students with intellectual disabilities can be used as research data in the future and safety education materials in the school for students with intellectual disabilities.
