As a plan for establishing Korea''s cultural identity with competitive edge in a world market and for enhancing cultural status, there is a need to develop the creative and originative high value-added cultural product by utilizing our inherent cultural assets. Accordingly, this study was progressed with the focus on development in the fashion culture product design with the convergence of Hangeul, which is our endemic letter, and of Korea''s cultural heritage, which is registered in UNESCO World Heritage. A design method was devised that converges the archetypal image of cultural property with the originative Hangeul font targeting Korea''s symbolic architectures such as Seokgatap(pagoda) and Dabotap(pagoda) at Bulguksa(temple), which is the architecture of pagoda out of the world heritage in South Korea, as Injeongjeon(hall) at Changdeokgung(palace), which is the architecture of royal palace, and as Paldalmun(gate) in Hwaseong, which is the architecture of fortress wall.
In this way, to develop cultural assets of being converged with the Hangeul font as the consumer-product image that has universality, the possibility of cultural product was pursued by applying it to the color planning after analyzing with extracting the compositional colors in the flag of the world.

The conclusions were as follows.

First, the geometrical font was developed, which can express proportional sense, formative morphological sense, and unitive sense, by utilizing the traditional square typeface so that the Hangeul font can be harmonized with a geometric form of the architectures in cultural assets.

Second, a motif design with the geometrical morphological beauty and the good readability was developed with a method of converging symbolic architecture in cultural property with the Hangeul font. Through this, an opportunity could be arranged that can notify the unique value in Hangeul and the image of cultural heritage at the same time.

Third, design was developed by utilizing the architectural motif of being converged with the Hangeul font. The proposed design was commercialized by being applied to fashion items with a small volume and a less concern about damage such as bag, scarf and necktie. Accordingly, design, which was differentiated from the conventionally-developed Hangeul culture product, could be created.

Fourth, color has an important function that connects a country and a country in the globalized era of consuming image. Thus, the fashion culture product with the application of color in a national flag is expected to be likely able to contribute even to a plan for continuing Hanryu(Korean wave).

The development in the culture product design through the convergence of the Hangeul font with the Korean architecture as world heritage is anticipated to be likely available for securing competitive edge in the aspect of uniqueness and originality in our culture amidst the world. Research and attempt in this way will lead to an opportunity that Korea''s cultural product in a global market further leaps forward with being recognized its value and excellence as cultural product of having the global universality like the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
