The patients of 40% who dignosted Lung cancer are belong to therapeutic lung resection operative indication and lots of lung cancer patients are gor therapeutic lung resection. Because, therapeutic lung resection can cause decreased lung function and intense pain after operation, it has high risk for postoperative complications. Postoperative complications influence on postoperative recovery, predicting and preventing of postoperative complications is important. Therefore it is necessary to assess various complications and identify the risk factors to offer preventive procedure.
Purpose: This study aimd to assess postoperative complications and influencing factors of complications in lung cancer patients undergoing therapeutic lung resection.
Methods: This is a retrospective comparative study that investigating the electronic medical records of patients undergoing therapeutic lung resection for lung cancer. 191 participants who received the therapeutic lung resection from November 2, 2015 to July 31, 2018 were recruited from 1 general hospital in D city.
Results: The complications occurred in 80(41.9%) of the 191 participants who received therapeutic lung resection. The incidence of complications according to the characteristics of the subjects was significantly higher in male, elder(over 65 years old), smoker(former smoker included), low FEV1 , FEV1/FVC ratio less than 70%, Low FEV1/FVC, except adenocarcinoma the other histological types in primary lung cancer, long operation time, high BMI, postOP stage Ⅱ. Logistic regression was used to identifying significant influencing factors, FEV1/FVC ratio less than 70%, high BMI and postOP stage Ⅱ are the influencing factors.
Conclusion: In conclusion, FEV1/FVC ratio less than 70%, low BMI and postOP stage Ⅱ are the influencing factors of complications after therapeutic lugn resection. To prevent postoperative complications, determine chronic obstructive pulmonary disease by perfoming preoperative pulmonary fuction test and plan the proviing nursing interventions that can improve lung function. And should provede with carerul boservation and intensive care after surgery to patient who with low BMI or suspected postOP stage Ⅱ to prevent postoperative complications.
