In this study, the revised IPA method of Deng (2007) was explored to enhance the competitiveness of production farmers and improve agricultural income amid internal and external crises in the peach industry. Through IP analysis modified by conducting a satisfaction survey on peach farms in North Jeolla Province to derive a relative importance value to the value obtained, we divided the issues into four areas " Possible Overkill", " low priority ", "Concentrate here" and " Keep up the good work". And by looking at the ranking of relative importance and satisfaction of agricultural income and its influencing factors, we looked at which factors we should focus more time and effort on in guiding farming households.
Beginning in the mid-1990s, the reduction of farming household income led to the expansion of the average income gap between urban muscular households (two or more people) and rural income, while the polarization of urban and rural areas resulted in economic, social, and cultural differences, leading to a decrease in the rural population. Also, the gap in agricultural income between farming households is widening further because of the difference in productivity of individual farming households. Therefore, in this study, we will examine the agricultural income of peach farms and consult the advice of leading farmers to distinguish the lower and upper classes of agricultural income and to compare and review the differences in the preferred direction of improvement in the revised IPA method of Deng(2007) to achieve the resolution and improvement of the agricultural income gap for peach farmers.
First, if you look at the list of satisfaction ratings by question for each of the factors that affect agricultural income, you will find that you are satisfied by ‘Mechanization(4.48)’, ‘Participation in Educatio(3.80)’, ‘Pruning(3.72)’ and ‘Relationship with Technical Guidance Agencies and Educators(3.69)’, on the other hand, you will find that the ‘PLS(Positive List System)(2.40)’, ‘Farmer's Disaster and Farm Product Accident Insurance(2.20)’
This shows that the labor force savings through mechanization were highly satisfactory from the perspective of farming households due to the aging of farming villages and the lack of workers due to the reduction of the rural population, and that the acquisition of farming techniques through ‘Participation In Education’, ‘Pruning’, and 'Relationship with Technical Guidance Agency and educators' also improved productivity. However, it is believed that the ‘Positive List System (PLS)’ and ‘ Farmer's Disaster and Farm Product Accident Insurance’ are less satisfactory in farming households due to lack of detailed factors, such as the lack of compensation for input. The relative importance rankings are 'Participation In Education(0.257)', 'employment labor(0.232)', 'fertilizer and soil management(0.195)', 'Pest Management(0.188)' and 'Agricultural Engineering Guidance(0.185)’, which indicates that farming house holds are thinking about how to grow.
Second, Among the factors of peach farms, the direction of continuous maintenance of the current state of ‘Producer Awareness and Cultivation’ among , the ‘Consideration Before Cultivation’ is concentrated, and the ‘Labor And Distribution’ is improved due to excessive effort. and By item, the first quadrant (continued maintenance of current conditions) showed ‘Education Participation’, 'Relationship With Technical Guidance Agency and Educators', 'Agricultural Technical Guidance', ‘Collaboration And Operation’, ‘Fertilizer Soil Management’ was found in the first quadrant(Keep UP The Good Work). In the second quadrant(Concentrate Here), ‘Support At The Local Government Level’, ‘Pest Mangement’, ‘Choice Of Variety’ and ‘Employment Labor’ were shown. The third quadrant(Low Priority) showed ‘PLS’, ‘Acquisition Of Farming Information’, and ‘Farmer's Disaster and Farm Product Accident Insurance’. The fourth quadrant (avoiding Possible Overkill) showed ‘Organization Participation’, ‘Pruning’, ‘Mechanization’, ‘Internal Parts’, ‘Outside Parts’, ‘Marketing’ and ‘Shipment Type’.
Third, the revised IPA improvements made by Deng (2007) of the lower agricultural income for peach farms were found in the first quadrant(Keep UP The Good Work) 'Organisation Participation', 'Agricultural Technical Guidance', 'Relationship with Technical Guidance Agency And Educators', 'Pruning', 'Fertilizer and Soil Management’ and 'Mechanization' and 'Internal Quality'. The second quadrant (Concentrate Here) included ‘PLS’, ‘Pest Management’ and ‘Employment Labor’. The third quadrant (Low Priority) included 'Support At The Local Government Level', 'Farmer's Disaster and Crop Disaster Insurance', 'Choice Of Variety', and 'Marketing'. The fourth quadrant (avoiding Possible Overkill) included 'Participation In Education', 'Acquisition Of Farming Information', 'Collaboration And Operation', 'External Quality' and 'Shipping Type'. The revised IPA’s improvements made by Deng (2007) of the upper class agricultural income of peach farms included 'Participation In Education', 'Pruning', 'Fertilizer and Soil Management', 'Mechanization' and 'Marketing' in the first quadrant(Keep UP The Good Work). The second quadrant (Concentrate Here) included 'Pest Management', ‘Choice Of Variety', 'Employment Labor' And 'External Quality'. The third quadrant(Lower Priority) included 'Agricultural Technical Guidance', 'PLS', 'Support at The local Government level', 'Agricultural Information Acquisition', 'Farmer's Disaster and Farm Product Accident Insurance', and ‘Internal Quality'. The fourth quadrant (avoiding Possible Overkill) included 'Organization Participation', 'Relationship With Technical Guidance Agencies And Educators', 'Collaboration And Operations' and ’Shipping Type’.
After all, Deng (2007) of amendments to the limited resources for the efficient and appropriate time and methods of the time of investment because it is a common approach from the peaches. ‘Participation in Education’ and the influx of young people, in order to improve agricultural income ‘Relations With Agriculture-Related Institutions’, ‘ Agricultural Consultant Service’, ‘Appropriate Fertilizer Management And Soil Management’ the current state, through the ‘Collaboration And Operational’ and lacking in resources ‘The Support Of Local Government Level’ and ‘The Pest Management’, will should step up efforts to ‘Choice Of Variety’, ‘Employment Labor’. Since peach farms in the lower class will have to learn the recognition and experience of peach farms in the upper class, the common nine items are ‘Pruning’ and ‘Pertilizer Mangement and Soil Management’, ‘Mechanization’, ‘Pest Management’, ‘Employment Labor’, ‘Support At The Local Government Level’ 'Farmer's Disaster and Farm Product Accident Insurance' 'Collaboration And Operations', ‘Shipping Type’ The remaining 10 'Marketing' and 'Participation In Education' are in the first quadrant(Keep UP The Good Work), ‘Variety Selection, ’External Quality’ are the second quadrant(Concentrate Here), ‘Agricultural Technical Guidance’, ‘PLS’, ‘Internal Quality’ and ‘Farming Information Acquisition’ are the third quadrant(Low Priority), 'Participation In Organisation' and 'Relations With Technical Guidance Agencies And Educators' will need to be improved to be included the fourth quadrant(avoiding Possible Overkill) category.
