In today''s modern society, the importance of treatment is focused on an integrated and holistic perspective, breaking away from the dichotomous theory of body and mind, which was constructed around Western medicine in the 17th century. In other words, it can be emphasized that the integrative treatment that looks at the disease in different ways by looking at the whole object in an integrated way, rather than dividing it into two parts, and looking at the disease in different ways, is the new therapeutic point of the 21st century. This study was conducted to systematically establish theoretical principles and lay the groundwork after examining the common contact principles of oriental dance therapy according to two academic characteristics of oriental medicine and dance therapy. Also, by grasping the theoretical basis of the theory of 「Donguibogam」Essence(精) Qi(氣) Spirit(神) from the perspective of oriental medicine, the oriental medicine dance therapy program that applied dance movements based on the ideas of oriental medicine and the basic concept and academic characteristics of the theory of 「Donguibogam」Essence(精) Qi(氣) Spirit(神) were used to derive the two correlations. Therefore, this study aims to establish a theoretical framework for the therapeutic possibility of oriental dance therapy program for improving individual health and quality of life. In other words, before the use of programs through physical activities such as health dance or movement/dance therapy programs to promote individual health in the modern society centered on health, the necessity of 「Donguibogam」Essence(精) Qi(氣) Spirit(神) theory, which is the constitution of the body, was established. The purpose of this study was to examine the principles of oriental medicine dance therapy program. Oriental dance therapy embodies movements in detail based on the theory of oriental medicine and looks at the human body from the perspective of oriental medicine. Therefore, the goal is to stabilize the body and mind by breathing properly so that a healthy body and correct mental state can be controlled in a harmonious state, centering on 「Donguibogam」Essence(精) Qi(氣) Spirit(神) theory, which is the constituent material of the human body, and to perform movements that are appropriate. In addition, it is argued that the flow of oriental medicine according to the curing method of oriental medicine is gradually expanded to broaden the range of movement suitable for oneself, and that the healing ability can be instinctively improved by controlling oneself. From this point of view, the basic concept of 「Donguibogam」Essence(精) Qi(氣) Spirit(神), the most important component of the human body, suggests that oriental medicine can be used to improve individual quality of life, improve mental and physical health, as well as to establish strategies for disease prevention and health maintenance. In line with this, one of the oriental dance therapy programs, Sanjo Gimu, was developed as a therapeutic movement for health. Sanjo Gimu was created by applying the flow of Qi(氣) from the perspective of oriental medicine to the sanjo dance, which embodies the tunes of the sanjo music, an instrumental solo piece composed of several long and short movements, through dance movements. Sanjo Gimu is a field of oriental dance therapy developed through the logical perspective that it can grasp the principles of our body and create a healthy body through the circulation of Qi(氣) flowing smoothly in the body, and then maintain the mental health condition. In addition, the purpose is to improve the self-healing ability by increasing the motility of naturally generated Qi(氣) by controlling the consciousness of mental action through breathing. Therapeutic movements according to the flow of Qi(氣) should be performed within a specific area without significantly deviating from the range of motion according to the difficulty and without changes in the speed of movement according to the music. These Sanjo Gimu have different characteristics depending on each individual''s physical characteristics and constitution, so that each person''s energy and the direction of the flow of Qi(氣) flowing in the body may appear differently when the movement is performed. Summarizing the results of this study, 「Donguibogam」Essence(精) Qi(氣) Spirit(神) theory became an important predictive factor that ultimately affects individual health promotion and quality of life improvement in performing oriental medicine dance therapy program. However, under the current circumstances, there is a marked lack of research on the possibility that the field of oriental dance therapy itself may be systematically required for health promotion behavior and quality of life improvement. Therefore, in order to increase the understanding of oriental dance therapy and to have the popularity of the oriental dance therapy program, its effectiveness and importance must be proven in practice. Accordingly, oriental dance therapy programs can be used to develop movement programs for individual constitution and clinical symptoms of each disease, as well as for health promotion.
