Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report cases of patients with palpitation treated by Gami-Ondam-tang.
Methods : The patients were treated by Gami-Ondam-tang and assessed the improvement of symptoms using self-reported NRS
score.
Results : After undergoing treatment with Gami-Ondam-tang, the
patient''s palpitation and accompanying symptoms such as insomnia,
hot flush, dyspepsia, depression were improved. The prevalence of
women is higher than that of men, suggesting that there is a significant relationship between menopause and palpitations in terms of
age. Since most palpitations are caused by cardiac or psychological
causes, it is thought that there were many cases accompanied by
symptoms such as insomnia, hot flush, and depression. In addition,
gastrointestinal symptoms such as dyspepsia, diarrhea, and constipation were also accompanied in a number of cases, confirming
that palpitations and digestive symptoms were significantly related.
This case reports include 14 first occurrence and 10 recurrence. In
the recurrent cases, compared to the first occurrent cases, the
symptoms measured by NRS were not severe and the treatment
period was shorter.
